Lent Services Schedule

March 5—Ash Wednesday

Join us for a Fellowship Dinner at 5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall followed by our Ash Wednesday worship service at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary. There will be the imposition of ashes as we remember that we are "dust, and to dust you shall return" and look to Jesus Christ as our Savior. The Sanctuary Choir will feature special music at this service.

Wednesday Morning Communion in Lent (March 12 - April 9)

Join us in the Chapel during the Lenten season each Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM for a time of reflection, scripture, music, and eucharist. As we walk with Jesus to Jerusalem and his cross, we prepare ourselves by coming to him to receive life in the bread and in the cup. You are then invited to stay after the thirty-minute service for a time of fellowship and shared breakfast and coffee. Eucharist, Word, Community.

April 13—Palm Sunday

Stay after worship for a church luncheon that will have all of your favorite easter fixings from ham to mac and cheese and more. After eating lunch, children will be invited to participate in our easter egg hunt. Bring your basket with you!

April 17—Maundy Thursday

On this night we celebrate Jesus’ final meal with his disciples before his crucifixion. We will meet at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall for this worship service, and dinner will be served as part of the worship service. Additionally, we will have our own “upper room” where worshipers will gather for the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

April 18—Good Friday

3:00 PM—Churches on Grandin Road present Good Friday Cross Walk

7:30 PM—Tenebrae Service—Sanctuary

We will gather around the story of Christ’s crucifixion as the lights slowly extinguish and the chancel is stripped of the symbols of our Christian faith. Special music by the Sanctuary Choir.

April 20—Easter

9:00 AM and 11:00 AM—Sanctuary

Both services will include musical offerings from the Sanctuary Choir and brass ensemble. Children’s Worship and the Nursery will be available at both services.
